really? in the sameway non functional body kits, spoilers, and stickers are. it adds nothing to the performance or usability of the car. its purely cosmetic and to be honest if i saw a car driving down the road with that kind of paint i would prolly shake my head.
+ it reminds me too much of a hotwheels car with a paint job like that.

ok strip your car of all its paint and clearcoat and the come back to me in 2 months and tell me its still cosmetic.

so if you are saying paint serves a real function how is this "purely cosmetic?"

you get in a nascar without a spoiler and letme know what happens
helps with downforce and keeping the car from flying

not paint in general, this style of paint is not needed. they didnt put it on there because they needed paint, they put it on their for the color changing aspect. that makes this particular paint job for the purpose of "zomg it changes color with a cold temp".

to me its basically like sticking the little car graphics on your car.

imo i think it takes away from the beauty of the car when you do all these unneeded paint treatments and shanningans. im more of just a "clean" car guy. it doesnt really need anything else except maybe a set a wheels.

like every other paint job though you pick the color you like.

would you be happy with your car if it was bright pink? would you go "oh well as long as it protects the metal underneath"?

the color is about as important as the job it does..thats why there are soooo many colors of paint.
