If you're a taller guy, the cbr is a good fit. im 6'2" and i found the cbr's to be comfortable compared to the r6 and gsxr. ninjas arent bad but im not a fan of their bikes and i've only rode a couple.

if you're a shorter guy 5'6" ish then a r6 will fit you perfect. still rough ride as they are a more track oriented bike (imo) but the gsxr is also a good choice for a shorter guy

If you know you're going to upgrade down the road, I would suggest a Katana 600 or 750.

I had an '02 600 with 6,300 miles that I got for $2,200. Was a good stepping stone to my Gsxr 750.

Sold the Katana for $2,100 after I added about 3k miles on it. I knew that I could ride it comfortably and if I laid it down, it wouldn't be a big deal.

cough......ninja 300...cough

just do it and then always ride around in the wrong gear so you have to twist the throttle hard and everyone looks at you.

get a 1000cc or bigger.. If you are dumb enough you can kill yourself on a moped, so the size of the bikes engine doesnt matter. Might as well get something with some power that way you dont need to upgrade later.

if you start on some little bike, and then upgrade to something that actually has power later, you are gonna have to learn how to ride all over again because the characteristics are completelty different due mostly to the size and weight of the bigger bike..... so you might as well learn on a 1000cc+ now and get it over with.

A 600 is a full size bike. Not everyone enjoys riding a ZX-14 all the time. I love 600's.
