Not really....
The new V6 has as much horse power as a stock 4.6 maybe.

To bad its 40 lb-ft down on torque. And mines not stock, granted its not modded that much currently.
Also V8 sound > V6 all day.

Im trying to decide if I should buy a newer Jeep or find something cheap and supercharge my GT instead.

I meant a new stock v6 is equivalent to a stock v8 4.6 pretty much. And obv v8>v6 sound wise, no competition.

Do you need a jeep for the winter where you live? Only reason to get one imo is if your stang cant handle the winters wherever you live. Otherwise id supercharge the stang.

40 lbft of torque puts a decent edge on the gt but they are definitely close.

I need something that can handle winters here as well have some off road capability. Im up in the mountains and a lot of the stuff to do around here requires at least a truck. I cant really take my bike or a kayak on my Mustang too easily. Even the local shooting range is down a pretty bad dirt road so I hear.

I really want a Saleen Super Shaker, but for 6k id rather try and find a wrecked 5.0 and swap in a new motor.

Lol, I wonder if there are any sitting in junk yards yet. Ive seen a few threads discussing 4.6 to 5.0 swaps and the biggest negative was that a 5.0 is pretty expensive new.
