I've only done one frame for a stock car and I never had to do any of the bending, was a diy kit prebent.
Saved a ton of screwing around, and every car has to be the same so it had to be perfect.

Which gives him more experience in fabricating than most of us

I've done a bit of googling, and it does look like you can take a prefab buggy frame kit designed for a first gen bug and modify it just a slight bit for the motor you're using if you wanna do that. Seems like you've got the money for it.
