I disagree the MSP3 might have a M-I-N-O-R performance advantage but when it comes down to the overall comfort and luxury of a same price ranged car the GTI wins. In other words you get your money's worth in a GTI better than a MPS3 I actually test drived 1 because it was my second choice car but the car's interior is very cheap looking and the new models for the speeds are awful prefer the 04-08 models.
The car's selling for 22k overall , 25k is with all my insurance's and guarantee's guys, 21k for a 70k km 2010 GTI is the cheapest I found and I visited at least 20 diff dealers.
You can get a 2010 msp3 for around 17k with around 15k miles around here. 2010 was the best year too. As for the comfort factor, I think it is more comfortable. It is highly opinion based, but it's whatever. And with the 7k price gap, the msp3 can easily hit 450hp with bolt-ons. That is ~5k in parts. The bose system in the msp3 is better than the GTI also.
And as for track capabilities, it is what the scoobi/msp3/evos were meant for, so there shouldn't be an argument there.
As for looks, I prefer the all other cars in that class to the GTI. It is just... ugly lol.
Last but not least, a new GTI is 25k, and a new msp3 is 22k. That is a big difference in price, and 3k in parts can do a lot to a car.
