still though it's kind of a pointless example if you only show it under ideal conditions.
we have no idea how that truck would react with a load that shifted during that hard braking so its hard to say how useful this is in that situation.
its a step in the right direction but they are misleading people with that test either way.
YOU ARE STILL GOING TO BE IN THE EXACT SAME SITUATION ABOUT TO RUN OVER TOP A CAR!!!!!
that system gives you a way bigger advantage to avoid a disaster than by relying on human instinct alone. it doesnt matter if you are using their system or not if its a load at high risk for shifting it will shift either way. what if instead of slamming on the brakes you swerved at the last second to avoid the collision? then your load takes a real shift and rolls your semi and you crush a hell of a lot more cars. if the load is only shifting forward the biggest thing it will do is probably cause a longer stopping distance because the weight gets thrown forward and pushes you.
weight sliding forward is way better than weight going to one side thats why the number one big no no in a tractor trailer is swerving to avoid something. and there are times when swerving is the best option but not very often.
