to the part you highlighted no its not way too late. you should know i drive a semi every day and most truck drivers are going to experience a jackknife at some point. as long as theres not traffic in front of you and you can speed up a jackknife is surprisingly easy to recover from as long as you have been paying attention and catch it when it starts happening.
