wut?

what work are you referring to.

other then boring and porting, there isnt anything you cant do yurself on a car..especially new stuff where you can just plug it into a laptop and tune it with 10 million diff programs outthere..

obd2 port tuning must be nice, i hada do it that hard way on my spirit r/t  <_<

I'd be willing to bet that most all of those aftermarket parts put on the SRT8 were done by a shop.... probably charging 80-100$ an hour.....

if you think that SRT8 was done in under 40k then your IQ must be lower than we think

Edit: just because you personally ghetto rig your own 'performance parts' and do all the work yourself, does not mean that other people do... clearly he used QUALITY mods.... and we all know that quality aint cheap

Wow... good luck with a mail order tune on your 1000hp car..

I guess most people with 1000hp cars are just going to walmart and picking up a OBDII reader and tuning there street rods these days huh..

you dont need more then a predator tuner if you know what yur doing..

sure, if you wanna pay somene to map it for you / outsource it, then yeah, it might be costly. do it yurself for 500$ or less.

as i stated originally, if you do the work yurself :P

i did my spirit r/t myself and only costed $250 ish..

ran it to 40psi multiple times, not a single issue on boost, fuel delivery, methanol, egts / air fuel ratios..

edit: only issue i got is traction oO

first time was from the oil pump failing / seized a rod and shattered it..gotta pic of it lol.. a mangled rod..broke into 3 peices somehow lolz. most common thing with the t3 motor (pump failure)

which is when i did the timing belt idler relocaation mod which eliminates that problem

second time wasnt a blow up, but damage was done cuz the machine shop assembled the pistons in backwards.. sure its a non interference engine, but when the valves dont match up with the depressions in the pistons, yeah... lol
but the machine shop fired the assembler, and covered all damages and wrote me a check for $1400 for new inconel valves, a couple aluminum rockers, a set of stainless lifters and 5 angle grind job.

third time wasnt a blow up at all.. the turbonetics t3/t4 hybrid super 50 blew its bearings out prematurely,, guess it didnt like 28psi lol

after that turbo went, i got a big and beastly holset he351cw turbo and added methanol injection to the existing build

and i got 5-6k miles on the build with zero issues so far.

edit: so technically, it only blew up once, but that was from a known factory issue. which has been eliminated now

straight line drag is straight line drag :P

after that, the jeep is actually usefull, offroading, hauling shit, driving through snow /winter etc.

point being, the gtr is useless, like most gook crap.
