Yes, like I mentioned " cheap " . Not everyone can afford proper racecar's. That dosent mean that you have to stop doing what you love.
For a budget car as my honda I can get as much fun out of it as possible, even if it's fwd. Ignorant people wouldnt understand.
+ gas prices are ridiculously high so a 1.8 litre engine is better for me than a hudge american beef v8 engine( id love to get a v8 though ). Say what you want, drive what you want as long as its not a TDI .
Engine size dosent determine handling properties? I disagree with this, yes the suspension is the key but engine size and its placement play a part of weight destribution if you plan to swap an engine that wasent placed in the car in the first place ( eg. "1.8L's swapped out with 5.7Ls that only gained ~180 lbs ")
if hondas are not preformance cars then what is a s2000/nsx ? If Keiichi Tsuchiya says they are, they are. If Hondas are not preformance cars why does Spoon and Mugen still exist ? Even though honda hasent made a decent car n 10 years
Like I said before, just because an engine has more displacement doesnt mean its going to be heavier.
The swap I was referring to is on a early 90s Miata. The weight gain is under 200lbs (about the same as having a passenger in the car) and the weight distribution actually improved by a %.
I also didnt say Hondas werent performance cars, I said how many track cars do you see out there that are track cars. And you pretty much named the only ones.
Civics and Accords arent and have never been good performance cars (at least without being 90% aftermarket).
As far as a budget performance car a honda still isnt really the way to go.
And whats wrong with a TDI?
