How does one go about registering and insuring a vehicle without knowing the model?

I'm assuming its his first vehicle. His parents probably still hold papers on it. He said he "got" it, not "bought" it.

Nothing wrong with that. He probably should be a little more knowledgeable regarding the vehicle though. If you told the cops someone stole your Cadillac Northstar you'd be up the proverbial creek, without a paddle.


Either way sweet first ride. Make sure you take good care of it. A friend had an STS with over 220,000 miles before he sold it. They can go the distance, and you'll be comfy the whole way.

i was just asking because my first car was also a cadillac northstar and it was a pain to try and get registered and insured, it was like no one knew what model car i had!
