So I didn't want to get in over my head and called my dads friend who owns his own garage. He said it sounds like the pressure plate has gone bad and that I would need a new clutch. He estimated it to be 600-700 with parts and labor.
Is this a fair estimate or should I look elsewhere.
you would think someone mentioned sounds like a bad pressure plate quite a while ago. advance auto has a clutch for that car with a 4 cyl (you didnt say 4 or 6) for 100 dollars. labor is about 90-100 dollars an hour.
