Took forever, but the car is all back together and running. Few more things to button up and it'll be golden.
Ended up with a new waterpump, opti, plugs, milled the heads and got a valve job.

Not as bad as people make it out to be. I have a 97 so I have the later vented opti.
Can do the swap in about an hour and a half now.

Did you get the msd? It seems like once the original one goes out all of the remans and "new" replacements don't last long.

I'll be getting the msd soon. I've heard that it's pointless without the msd coil.

Its better made mainly. I know more than one person that couldn't get a replacement options to last until they got the msd
