royal purple is no better the conventional oil, and you are not in an application that needs any specific special oil.

if you needed a performance oil, with more zinc or a lighter weight i still would tell you not to use royal purple, its junk

I dont think Royal purple is junk & have yet to see ANY decent testing that says so either. Im not defending them at all its just wierd how people start hating something from nothing.

Its expensive obviously but its far from junk. We have had this discuss before & the only thing someone was able to post up is some test it didnt pass with the government which from what I understand really wouldnt matter anyways.

I look at it like the chevy vs ford thing... Saying one of them is complete junk is laughable

i have friends that have used it, and liked it and some that hated it

i had 2 motors let go and both times royal purple had been in them, i quit using it, i have not had a problem since

my motor builder said if he ever found out i was putting that stuff in my motors again he would stop building them for me

i used it once and i could just feel how thin the oil was running with it in there. it felt like i had thrown 0w20 in the engine, not 10w30. its shitty oil with a gay color and bullshit marketing behind it.

people think ZMax works too, right?

thinking you feel shit in your ass hole and feeling/hearing an engine run rougher because the oil weight is too thin or too thick are completely different things.

i put royal purple in and the car ran like shit. it was rougher. it felt and sounded like the oil was too thin. end of story.

did you smoke too much this morning? because you're typically better than that. or have you been running RP for a while and trying to defend it?

the way i see it is that with any company in the aftermarket performance world, the harder they try to sell it with marketing tactics like "scientific tests" and "dyno tests", the greater chance its all just a bunch of hyped up bullshit. in this community, if something works well, word travels in the right circles and it will trickle down.

No one markets their oil more than royal purple.

Pretty sure its all in your head bro. Going from another full synthetic to Royal purple synthetic didnt make your car "run like shit"

And its funny I cant remember the last time ive seen a royal purple commercial or ad but you bet your ass every time I turn on the tv I will see a penzoil or castrol commercial, etc.

when was the last time you watched speed channel?

and you bet your ass people can tell when an engine is running differently due to a different weight oil.

put 5w30 in a diesel and see how it runs.

I put 10w30 instead of 5w30 and it seems to be running better IMO.
