Get a voltmeter and test both alternator and battery...easy as pie.

/e

I ran 2500~ rms off of a stock charging system. You just gotta take care of it. Not always blasting it, not always playing it with the car not started.

i do a lot of that

zoo how do i test it

first jump it? then what let it run for 20 mins to charge the battery then what?

Battery sounds deep cycled. Won't hold a charged once a battery has been deep cycled

why not just get a capaciter or however you spell it to combine with your system and it wont affect your battery so much

You "should" be fine.

According to avoids dumbass when his sys was bumping his shit would drop to like 10 or 11 volts..

if you'd seriously like to get rid of voltage problems get a higher amp alternator and an xs battery

there is nothing worst for your alt then a weak battery, 2 amps off a stalk alt will fail once it starts to sound good (99% of the time)

How long has it been since you've changed the battery?

If it's a cheaper battery, and it's been about five years, you're about due.

implying cheap batterys last 5 five years.

maybe it's just Arizona but they don't last that long here

That is true...off my dick.

Id have roughly 12.3volts then it'd drop into the 11s (with the car not running).

Old saying goes, never let a mechanic install your electronics, they are clueless.

Weren't you the one arguing with me about the alternator charging voltage? Ill back up what I said 100%.

Should be mid 14s, if in the 15s, your alternator is stuck in the "on" mode if that makes any sense.

how much rms you have running through the amps?

after 1k rms you almost always need a electrical system upgrade otherwise you'll ruin your alternator.

indeed
