But I know it sounds great for sure. Not going for any SPL comps so
understandable. 8/10. All I see that can be done as an upgrade would be
a new deck (Im not a fan of clarion but atleast its 5v preamp Nor am I
a fan of the screens in the deck I prefer them off the cieling or
something) And a completely molded fibreglass trunk that would fit over
your box and inclue the rack to complete a cleaner look. But thats
about a waste of time as its in a TRUNK and rarely gets seen lol.
On a separate note:
My
friend bought this amp. The guy said it was a 2400 and I just didnt
believe him atfirst but wow. This thing is TINY for a 2400. But what do
you think of Directed Audio amps? We hooked this bad boy up to his Jeep
(before he rolled it) to a 15'' Kole KMX speaker and we couldnt turn it
passed 1/4 on gain or it would draw too much power and shut off. So we
got 2 batteries and a 180 amp? stinger alternator and we still cant
turn it all the way up lol. Get to about 3/4 and it draws to much and
auto shut down. But hell it works great. Im afraid if we rolled any
windows up with out blow them out. We can put a quarter on the roof
while its playing heiroglyphics and the quarter will bounce about 2
feet in the air. But sadly he rolled his jeep the amp is fine but the
speaker ripped completely out of the box and got thrown outside into a
river-_-.
Anyways just a little story lol. Lmk what you think of these guys I may
have to go with them all the time. 2400 waat amp and its dimentions are
about the size of a piece of printer paper.
well this proyect its not finished, we are making new panels and they are going to be upholstered with vinyl, that deck its going to be out of there pretty soon, thinking on going with an eclipse deck, and had to put at least 1 screen since this car doesnt have a ceiling remember?
we are still gonna add some screens on headrests and stuff but later on. we are limited on time here at the shop, and we only work on these cars when we dont have anything in the shop, so that makes it a little harder still.
Directed amps used to be bad in ass amplifiers back in the day, but i rly havent tried one, lately, we quit carrying that brand since they sold the company, what kind of batteries is your friend running?. Have you tried kinetik batteries?. we have got two on this car and man.... i just love them. we are thinking on doing 8 16v kinetiks on the other demo we are working on, its gonna be 2x 15" Memphis Mojos Quads with 2x 4k watts Memphis amps driving em. box its gonna be 16cu. ^^ running em @ .33ohms. ill post pics and stuff whenever we get the stuff in for the next proyect.
