How much would a day of boarding lessons cost for like 4.

depends of the mountain, but around here it cost you 45-55$ just for the all day ticket (per person)

e:havent skied in 2 years, finally bought me some boots and a ski pass at bromont

I want to take my kids to maybe boine ( spelling ) mountain . Try to get them into boarding

I think private lessons where I worked was like $60 an hour

what would you people recommend for a starting board for some one 6'4. also boots (size 12) and bindings.

one of my buddies spent about hour n half just showing me how to leaf down the bunny slopes, then we went up the mountain and I ended up coming down a blue...it was awesome. (1st time boarding)

fucked up my knee real good though.

It all depends on what you want to do. I'm 6'4" 190 lbs and ride a 153 right now, which most people would consider very short but after riding both extensively I much prefer the short board so I would recommend that.

As far as boards, try and grab a last years (for pricing) lib tech skate banana with basically any kind of decent quality boots/bindings you find you like. Just avoid Flow bindings or anything that you step into like that, the concept doesn't pan out.

Not really. A short board is definitely better for park, but even if I was riding nothing but powder I'd probably still want a short board. Its a lot easier to throw around and you feel like your in control more. I went from riding a 158 to the 153 and the difference was huge. If you can find a demo day at your local hill take advantage of it to see what you like best yourself.

I need to find me a board too. I went last weekend and rented one for two days and ended up getting rained out the second day. Bye bye $40...
