When you going to fix that old Ford pick up with the metal bed?

I like the other wheels better....

Cool project!  Fun read.  Hope it continues to go well for ya.

The Ford was an old project. It is a 1968 f250 dump truck. It has the 240ci straight 6 in it. Was a great truck. I traded it to a friend who has lots more old Fords. I didn't have any use for a 8000lb dump truck anymore. Good eyes spotting it though. It was a great truck.
And if there is anything I have excess amounts of for this car, it's wheels. I have 3 or 4 different sets. I will most likely swap around. These wheels just have the best tires on them currently.

That's awesome. That car originally came with the fuel injected 2.8, and the wiring harness is super simple (I even have an extra one) so if you ever wanted to get that motor running, I could help you.

And if you're looking into the 350 sbc swap. Research a company called "Jags that run" or JTR. They make motor mounts, and most of the necessary evils required to drop a v8 in an early Z.

Anyways, back to my car.

I was supposed to spray these last night, however I brought the wrong black paint to do so....

That said, I got around to spraying the black pieces today.

4 of these pieces need to be a black/anthracite two tone, that's why there is good coverage on only half of some of them.

Tomorrow I go back in, scuff the area to be gray, tape off the black, and spray.

HORRIBLE picture quality, apologies. I am excited to see the contrast against the color.

I'm going to try to finish prepping some panel tonight.

Thanks, I think it's going to look great against the Anthracite color.

Tonight was fruitful.

Both the driver's fender, and the hood are going in tomorrow to spray.

some more of the same looking photos. Wet sanded...

The key switch? or do you mean an aftermarket ignition system?

Hood painted. Ran it...TWICE. Haha! Luckily, I don't care. B)

Driver's fender painted.

Two tone bumper trim pieces painted.

It would appear that I don't have to go to work tomorrow. That said, I'll most likely still go in, to spray the door, and possibly the rear bumper.

It's coming together!

Pretty soon I'll be able to pull the painted unibody out of the garage, and assemble the pieces. It's just like a big model..... A rusty. Piece of isht. Potentially dangerous model. I mean what could go wrong?

Then, it's only the driver's door, and finishing up the unibody (rockers mostly).

Bumpers are just a scuff and shoot. Easy peasy.

More this evening.
