you can acctually have an intake on a turbo car and no awd does not suck at highend there is no difference... there is an awd lancer evo that hold some type of landspeed record i dont know exactly what one it is but it hold one and its awd :/

AWD cars DO suck up top. The parasitic loss of driving the front wheels does nothing but hurt them after the launch. If you can street race and EVO or STI and not get killed on the launch, you have them beat. Been there, done that. It's physics. Driving the front wheels only helps with low speed traction. After that it just sucks up hp.

its pretty true but if your pulling the whole 1/4 mile awd is your advantage.. fastest awd car runs 7.70 1/4 mile on a 2.0L motor, and full body.

But if they removed the AWD system and made it RWD, assuming it could hook, it would run faster. That is all I am trying to say here.

yeah but ur taking it into a 1/4 mile thing.. im talking about a 2nd gear 40 roll 3 beeps... all i need is boost on my single cam v-tec probably 9lbs on my stock internals.. i could rape a sti or evo (stock anyways) but i know on the high end im definitely gonna rape it

I raced an STI with full intake and exhaust, FMIC, boost controller, and who knows what else at the track once. He put it up on the 2 step and had me by 2-3 lengths by the 330' mark. By the time I got traction and shifted to second I was pulling him back in. I put another 4-5 lengths on him between the 1/8th and 1/4. To give you a good example of them having no top end, I ran a 12.1@118mph with a slow 2.12 60ft on street tires. He ran a 12.8@103, but his 60ft was probably a 1.7 or 1.8. After the launch they are gutless. Once you start building engines and swapping turbo's its a whole different story, just like anything else, but when they are fairly heavily modded they still have no top end.

may i ask what u were driving/boost lbs? etc lol wondering if it was a honda
