lol 150 is pretty fucking fast man..  Its a big thing to go 200, and thats 50 mph off of 200.

Idn im used to going 150 on my bike, which is pretty fucking fast on a bike.

Idk. That 740i I posted the other day hits 150 easily and loves going that fast.

I just think that the teg goes about 140, maybe a little faster (since I bailed) and its seen as a slow car, which is only 10mph from 150. The STi went 160 easily and I was shitting my pants and getting teary (not really but naw meen)

With 4.11's in a 5 speed car your not going to go a whole lot faster lol

Btw im guessing a little because his speedo was off with 28in tall tires & the 4.11 gears

Why the hell is he running 4 banger gears in a drag car? The only things 4.11's will get you is massive wheel spin.

There was a reason they didn't put 4.11's in the GT.

You are an idiot sometimes lol.. never said it was topped out I said it wouldnt go a whole lot faster. If he were to of held it down im sure it would have hit 160 close to redline.

The big difference here is your teg takes like 15 miles to get to 140 & the mustang is getting to 150 is less than a mile

4 banger gears? lol never heard of low gears referred to 4 banger gears.

Anyways he mainly street raced it so it helped alot out of the hole then he was able to grab the 150 shot right after hitting 2nd with barely any wheelspin

Well, I was referring to them as 4 banger gears because the 2.3l Mustangs came out of the factory with 4.11's.

And they just seem unnecessary. If he is running slicks I would think he would be making plenty of power to run at least 3.73's, and if he isn't making that and is running street tires they would spin. If it isn't making the power to launch with 3.73's it should be at the track <.<

I am assuming since you said you hit that speed on the way home from the track he is running street tires.

He pretty much always had a set of drag radials on it but if a race were setup for $$$ he would bolt on the slicks

Not exactly made for top speed haha.. heres a shitty pic really cant see the slicks but obviously those are an extra set of rims besides his set of weld drag lites

4.11 is good when you want to watch the speedo jump from 40/60 to 140 quick. otherwise like was said its decent for track. ofc depends on power output, suspension, all that kinda good shiz.

It depends on the height of the tire and how high he is spinning it. 3.73's would bog with a 28" tire. 4.11's and a 28" tire is perfect for a SBF leaving on the bottle spinning to about 7,000rpm. Turbo guys are about the only serious ones running 3.73 or lower and that is to help spool the turbo.
