You were saying?
Child... Thats like the only insult you've got. I don't believe you'll ever own one of these cars anyway. You're a 12yr old (most likely obese) still living at home, with no job.
Let me know how your future career at McDonalds works out, bro.
For the underlined portion.... Everyone is agreeing with you on that. But it is pretty overpriced.
The depreciation is going to be severe in the first year or so. After about 5 years, it'll be about what you're thinking of it right now. Knock 20grand off the tag and even I'd be game.

I am 23. I work my ass off 65 hours a week.

I have 18000 set aside for this car and have been in frequent contact with my local Subaru dealer.

Subarus hold great resale value and with the slight rarity of the brZ, I don't see depreciation to be an issue.

Anything else?

I am , and I'm probably being a little arrogant about it too. I just have been ontop of this car Since day one, so not only am I excited but I'm a bit antsy.

I have met with my dealer but ultimately decided to go with a 2014 model. They said ( even though thu probably have no information ) that I could order one next may, but I'm hoping they are available to order in April..... A birthday present to myself

Haters gunna hate.  One more week on Monday and I'll be driving around my baby.

I for one am not hating. I totally get the "Driver's car" thing. I am utterly disappointed in Toyota/Subaru though. They missed a grand opportunity to sell thousands upon thousands of these things. With 200hp it's deceptively quick. It makes less torque than a base model Cobalt though. This isn't 1960. You don't have to hang a heavy iron block V8 over the front wheels to make it fast. There are plenty of ways to make more power for marginally more money. You are already charging almost $30k for these after dealer markup (which makes initial buyers tards, just like the 350z/5th gen Camaro etc) what would be so hard about giving it 260hp or 280hp? That is not some astronomical number. If they put it in that power range you would have people clamoring to buy it. It would blow the Miata out of the water. It would embarrass many a Corvette. It could MSRP for $30k.

Like it or not the feeling you get from that extra power will make the car come alive. There is no downside except for more of them being wrecked. The last time I checked adding horsepower doesn't necessarily make a car handle worse. With more power they could have people like myself interested. People that drive big diesel trucks and drag race 3500lb cars who's ideal car is 3200lbs/600hp. You would be amazed by how many people like me are out there, and they missed most of us. It just doesn't work at that power level and price. If it was $20-22k 200hp that's fine. Approaching $30k there are just too many other things I would rather drive. At $30k you have to consider the used market as competition too. You can pick up low mileage high end cars for $30k that annihilate this thing from a performance and features stand point. At closer to $20k the used market is not nearly as appealing. You go from low mileage LS3 C6 corvettes back to C5 Corvettes whose design is 15 years old.

I don't think any of this is hard to understand. If you want to go drop $30k on one be my guest. It's your money. Don't cry in 2 years when you can pick up a used one loaded with options with 30k miles @$18000.
