They're adding more power and fixing the blatant problems that keep people from viewing it as a real competitor in the market. I don't know how that is going to make it suck.

just getting a basic paint job on half a car is a few thousand dollars at the least. plus whatever the oem parts cost (they better be sticking oem not repros on it) and labor at probably 70-80 an hour.

should not be 14k though lol. hell i did my quarter and door for like 500$ total lol

maybe from a junkyard or on an old ass car. you arent buying oem quarter panel and new door for that cheap and it would still have to be installed and painted.

fair enough, a new oem body parts shouldnt be that expensive still though imo. maybe 500 for a door and aboutt he same for a quarter. than paint its not to much work

going through a body shop the paint is always expensive. and im sure he wants a top notch paint job not slap it on in a dusty garage. and like i said dont forget the labor and theres always going to be the small things they will have to straighten out and replace. all that stuff adds up. about 9 years ago it cost about 3 grand to get some minor fiberglass damage fixed and repainted on the drivers door and rear quarter of my 99 camaro. i asked them how much to paint the entire thing and it was gonna be another 2k for prep, labor, and paint.
