I'm hoping to get started on it next weekend. I've been working 60 hrs a week since I came off of shift . I barely had time to pick the transmission up at the freight office. I also bought these:

Time for some 9's

Edit: the TT C5Z my buddy built with the short block out of my formula put down 1018/1046 on the dyno yesterday. He bought a used ZR1 driveline as well so we should have plenty of fun this summer. The max effort d1sc camaro I've been working on is almost done too.

those look good!

I ran out of time to get this done before my next 1/2 mile race so I had my buddy drop it off at Mayhem Motorsports in Raleigh NC with all the parts for the swap. He was picking up his TT C5Z from them so it saved me a trip. I'm going to pick it up this friday.

FWIW I had them check the couplers and torque tube bearings when they installed the CF driveshaft. The couplers were good but the bearings were grinding. He said they were just starting to make noise and I caught it way earlier than most people would. New bearings are $190 but outside of that I haven't incurred any extra cost. They are:

Installing trans, diff, and cradle swap
Installing the motor mounts and driveshaft
Modifying the axle back to work
Installing the rear coilovers

When I get it back I have to
Delete front leaf spring and install front coilovers
Set final ride height
Get a 4 wheel "straight line" alignment
Change oil
Replace spark plugs
Replace 4 rib and 6 rib belts
Put some miles on the trans and diff then change fluid

After all that it should be ready for the next race and some drag strip passes. I'll be chasing the rare 9.50 or faster time slip with a manual trans and 170 mph in the half mile.

Good luck! I loaded a tune in it before it left that keeps the car from going over 20mph or over 2000rpm.

Nice try though
