The LS1's made ~350hp at the crank.
GM under rated the LS1 in F-body's (camaro/firebird) to keep the vette owners from getting mad.
If you bought a brand new C5 vette and the $25k camaro beside it is actually putting down MORE power because it doesn't have IRS your going to be mad. Just remember. An LS1 is an LS1 is an LS1. 2001 and 2002 LS1 F body's got the LS6 intake and slightly smaller cam. The LS1 vettes did not have EGR. They make the same power.
