Pretty pumped for this afternoon, would be awesome being one of very few owning a BRZ in my city.

A perfect example is my friend that owns a Viper, a Gallardo, an NSX, a C6 vette, an F250, a Jag XJ, and a 97 Saleen.  Having all of those cars he bought a Miata just to fuck around with.  He has much faster cars and cars that handle much better, but he doesn't want to go flog the shit out of them.  It doesn't mean he would pick the miata if he had to pick just 1.  I think that is where these guys are fucking up.  They think this is the end all be all enthusiasts car.  That's just not the case.  It's great for it's intended purpose and audience.

It's a well thought out platform that I'm sure we will see more of once the aftermarket gets hold of them.  That said, fanboi's that run around trying to tell everyone they are wrong when they say in their personal opinion they wouldn't drive one can suck a dick.  I remember a lot of hype about an Asian import with RWD not very long ago.  It was supposed to be the return of the domestic killers.  It IS the Hyundai Genesis.  Fanboi's did the same shit with that thing.  Here we are 2 or 3 years later and everyone has forgotten about it.  All that hype and the V6 Camaro and Mustang stomped it into the ground.  It feels like the import crowd tried to sweep it under the rug once it disappointed them.  This is the same shit all over again.

Exactly. Who cares if a guy with a Vette bought a BRZ... Doesn't mean he's going to like it more then the Vette or that he's going to use it for the purposes that he does the Vette...

Well, they only had one in, rest on waiting list until at least October. One comes in July 2, happened to be exact one I wanted. WR Blue and premium, so I bought it.

So excited, drove the silver manual they had in. Handles like a charm, shifts so smoothly.

They are sexy, no doubt about it. This week will feel like a year to own it.

Many people are doing it, although the posts I saw, they kept their vette.

Maybe if you took 5 minutes to read forums, you would understand why.  Many people are trading in their fast cars OR purchasing the BRZ because of the driving pleasure it gives.

This thread has been open for weeks and STILL hardly anyone has done the slightest bit of reading/research.

Your only argument is the ''driving pleasure''. You also make it sound like driving this car gives you orgasm.
