There are plenty of laws, they just arent enforced that much. But it does happen. My setup is fairly quiet once the car is warmed up if you keep it under 2-3k so its not a big deal.


More like never. The only cars that get stopped are POS beater-looking ricers with a big can on the back. You wouldn't see a nice WRX or Camaro getting pulled over for exhaust.

Yeah cams are certainly in the future for this car if I keep it.

My friend got pulled over in is IROCz for being too loud. No ticket though. It was a pretty clean car despite being a bit old.

cop said its not even cause it was too loud.

i was at the intersection at a red light....cop heard that my exhaust wasnt stock....so its an indicator thats it might have free flow mufflers.

So he stops me, check with a metal bar if it goes all the way tru...declare it illegal cause its not the same system as the stock exhaust.


My only chance would be if my stock mufflers were also free flows.


my tape goes in 15 inches, but u can see the pipe isnt straight tru the muffler part...(my stock exhaust)

So I cant even fight the ticket saying no db test was made

i live next to the police station with my side-pipes, didnt get arrested yet. all my friends have louder 4cyls then my v8 tough so i call bs on stock v8s making more noise then your muffler

its a fact, no bs


lots of stock motorcycles do more noise than my car...

anyways...today i put the stock catback on my car...

its confortable kinda...but ill miss the nice rumble for sure.
