Who in their right fucking mind buys a 125cc bike? :|

At least get a 600, god damn

I live in the UK, I passed my CBT at 16, got a moped, then got a few 125cc bikes, I was only allowed up to 125cc. Now that I've passed my full test, I can get any engine size I want as long as it's restricted to 33bhp for two years, then that restriction on power ends. I'm 18 now.

GTFO summer rider, you people buying 600's as first bikes clearly shows you are not real bikers, you just buy them for speed and power and give bikers a bad name.

I ride all year round in any condition.

I really do hate people like you, you're no biker.

See, people exist outside of your country. In the US you can buy a Hyabusa or ZX-14 and ride it at 15 years old. Because people choose to not waste money on a slower, smaller bike and go straight to a 600 does not mean they aren't "Real" bikers. You don't seem very worldly. The US is not full of 300+ year old cities with tiny streets and tight corners. Everything is separated by miles and miles of open highway and interstate. A 125cc bike is a waste if you ever plan on leaving the city limits of your town. 70mph on the interstate is deadly on one of those things. All it takes is for a semi truck to pass you with a well timed wind gust and you are fucked.

Another thing to think about along the same lines is off road riding. We have SO MUCH land that nearly everyone riding a sport bike learned on dirt bikes. We don't need to spend money on a moped and a 125 to learn the basics. We learn those on dirt. I'm 21 years old and I have 19 years of riding experience. You are 18 and have 2 years of experience. Quit being so pretentious.

What fun are straight roads? It's better over here, the roads are much more fun to ride on, lots of bends and hills, my 125 can overtake cars on these roads because I'm a brilliant rider.. didn't take me long to learn. I went on the UK's most dangerous road for bikers and aced it, I even overtook a guy on his 600 around corners. :B and I tour too, I know how to enjoy biking for what it is, I don't see straight roads for miles a reason to ride a bike. >_>
Planning for touring in Europe soon, to find those godly corners and roads.

You wont be such a "brilliant" rider when your cocky ass gets taken down by the car you overtook because you're being an absolute douche. Its idiots like you that i have the urge to take of their bike everytime they dangerousely zoom by me on their little 125 thinking they're hot shit. Being a good rider isn't being able to weave in and out of traffic or go round corners as fast as you can. Its about being considerate of other road users as well. I only have respect for one biker i've seen since i've been driving. On a single carriageway he was pulling in behind cars, waiting for an appropraite moment, then overtaking. Not going straight down the middle of the road. He even had the courtesy to lower his left hand down to his knee to say thank you to every car he passed. Thats what i call a decent rider, not you.

FYI: Cars > bikes round corners. Its been proven, and the cars you are overtaking aren't trying, my old fiesta was faster than any 125, and that was as slow as shit.
