prolly should of just completely rewired the blinkers and not just repaired craziness.
not like its going to be on the road anytime soon!

Unfortunately, If I want to use the OEM switches, I have to use the existing setup. I don't want to rewire all of those components into aftermarket toggles/switches - that would be twice the work, and look non factory. They work now, the hard part was just getting the diagnosis right. Now that I know the circuit intimately, subsequent troubleshooting (if any) should come easy.

The C5 system is similar. The turn signal and brake light power runs in part through the hazard switch. That circuit is a bitch too. I feel your pain.
Yeah, coupled with forty four year old combination switches that cost about 600 bucks for a set...no thanks.
If I wasn't constantly second guessing, and retesting, the condition of the switches, I was chasing power all around the interior, only to realize - that after many many tests - I forgot to turn on the ignition switch, or something mind numbingly stupid that would make me ragequit. haha
It also didn't help that my timeline, as of late, hasn't allowed me to spend continual time in the car. I had to refresh my memory almost every time I went to go troubleshoot, due to infrequency working on the car.
Now I'm literally assembling. No more troubleshooting. About damn time.
