there are many different sites based around oem/oem+/aftermarket euro (vw/audi/bmw/merc) parts for a fraction of the cost like germanautoparts.com, boraparts.com, esctuning, etc. BMW has a lot just for them, you would just have to look up a forum and research to find the sites
/e on germanauto the oem pump is $444, and that site is mostly based on VW/audi and wont have the best prices on bmw but still already saving a few hundered -->
http://www.germanautoparts.com/BMW/2014/7229/4/2208/0and i also noticed something, you're comparing a cast block pump to an external designed electric pump. that explains why the 700$ tag now
That was part of the point. They both pump water and keep the engine cool. I don't understand how you aren't seeing this. Remember i picked the model at random.

and you think knowing cars is some sort of elite knowledge, cute.
how many bmws have you owned? ive owned 3 over 6 years and never had a single water pump fail.
No i don't. I think it's knowledge you don't possess is all. You've been here a short time and said some really dumb shit. I'm glad your bmws can go 2 years on a water pump. Your constant trading of your bmws to run from maintenance and stay in warranty is very stereotypical. You thought ls engines weren't capable of holding real power like 800+. Clearly you are an authority on GM water pumps and i should heed your advice and buy one for my silverado to have it on standby.
