Mustang:  80.1"wide, 188.2" long
BRZ: 69.9" wide, 166.9" long
Miata:  67.7" wide, 157.3"long

brz's are quite a bit smaller than mustangs, and just a little bigger than a miatas.

It's very easy to make a car faster, it's much harder to make one smaller.

Its hard to make it smaller? More power requires a longer wheelbase to maintain control. Look at the wheelbase and overall length on a corvette or 458 italia.

Yeah i can buy a small, slow car and make it fast, but i cant buy a big fast car and make it small.

I looked at porsche's wheelbases and overall length's, looks like small cars and shit out power and maintain control just fine.

V6 and V8 Mustang are with like 4 grand either way of the BRZ.
The V8 rapes it in a straight line and in curves, the V6 not quite so much.
The only think that puts me off on the BRZ (and ive said this a million times) is the complete lack of power.
The Miata (lowered, suspension, sticky tires) we have is fun and handles like its on rails but that gets old FAST when you can barely pull out of a turn.
Raw power gets boring two. Gotta get both.

My parents owned a Miata and I don't think they handle anywhere near the same. The Miata does feel like it drives on a rail, but I've felt that the handling on the FR-S is more enjoyable. My bud has the GT turbo charged Mustang or whatever, and I did not like the handling on it at all... in fact kind of shitty.

Not a knock against you, but have you driven a FR-S? Doesn't hurt to try one regardless of how much you think it is similar to a Miata.. Certainly very unfair for people to create opinions when they haven't even stepped in the car....obviously not just for the FR-S, just any car in general. Just looking at the numbers doesn't nearly give the whole picture.

You are joking right? A RWD Porsche with any kind of power is handful to say the least. The short wheelbase makes it much harder to control once the back end comes out or gets out of shape at all.

I havent driven a FRS but our Miata isnt stock either. Lowered with new springs/shocks/struts and some very sticky tires does a lot for handling. Its pretty hard to get the car to break loose.

Yeah, I'm not going to speculate how the largest manufacturer of sports cars, with tens of thousands of race victorys, doesn't drive well to someone who has never driven one in their life.
Troll elsewhere.

That's not at all what i said but kudos on your 'jumping to conclusions' gold star!
You should try reading all the lines, not just between them.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS - 175.5" long 72.9" wide

^ their racecars are small, and win races.

But they handle like shit, according to killerme and according to FMX, who knows more then the porsche race engineers, if the car had a longer wheelbase it would handle better.
Just a bunch of clowns who can't read and make arguments about things they know nothing about. welcome to d2jsp
