Im pretty sure your STi will hit 150 if my old ass cougar hits 147?

Actually non Z06 C5's have higher top speeds than a C5 Z06. The coupe has slightly better aero and the Z06 has a lower final drive ratio.


As far as C6's go I think they go into the 180's. C6 Z06 obv 199.

just becasue your old ass cougar has a turbo dosn't mean it goes faster.....

The tranny still has to limit somehwere and at 147? you obviously have the new 11 speed trans. with underglow installed.

It's limited to 150-155 and cuts the fuel off until it drops down to 145. I've hit 140 but compared to other cars I've driven, it takes a bit of time to get there.

Ive only had it at 147 Once about 6 months ago, early morning on the motorway. I only use it for college and back and social i dont drive it like a typical 18/19 year old twat and put my foot down everywhere.

if by some chance in hell you drove it down mt. everest and hit 147 on the speedo i would shit my pants.

if you gps'd it at 147 id be even more amazed.

Max speed listed as 140, and as im sure you are aware a lot of listed max speeds are not correct. I had 147 out of it legitimatley despite what you say.

According to kgkleader (was talking to him on steam) You are thinking of the american cougars? Mine is an english FORD Cougar. Despite that both the mercury and the ford cougar have the same 2.5L Duratec engine.

Edit : 2.0 L Zetec 4-cylinder engine with 130 hp Is the only other engine the cougars come with. And according to wikipedia the Mercury cougar has the same engines as the english ford cougar.
