So lots and lots and lots going on. But somewhere in the mix, I assure you the Datsun is getting worked on or, at least, thought about constructively

That brings us up to date....I guess?

Third update: Off grid tiny house.

210 sq ft.

Radiant heat concrete slab/tile floor.

12v solar system.

Propane run appliances, and on demand water heater.

Wood stove.

Composting toilet.

Greywater treatment/irrigation

420 gallons of water supply which will be hauled in, with rain catchment to supplement.

Attached carport (with Datsun sized block of course)

The cylinder in the house represents a metal spiral staircase - paying homage to my childhood Lighthouse home - leading to a sleeping loft above the bathroom.

It's going to be a really fun project. And it will be perfect timing as there isn't too much more the car needs at this point..

I'm hoping to attain the permits with enough time left to break ground with the upcoming thaw.

You should try Dyneema. I'm biased since used to work for the company that makes it but it's good stuff. Better abrasion resistance and far better UV resistance than kevlar.

Hahaha! Yeah, I'll be moving from 6800 sq ft to 210.

I'll be atop my 1500 dollar Swedish made composting throne. With toasty feet resting on montauk slate.

The property is 9 acres, that's really the focal point - exterior space. The tiny house will be oriented facing into the woods, most of the time will be spent doing outdoor activities.

I have used Dyneema in sailing, for various control lines. <3 It truly is amazing stuff. I wasn't aware it came in sheet form? (like fiberglass or other fabrics)

It must because my cut resistant work gloves are dynema. It may not be available to the general public in that form. Those Dutch bastards...

My friend's shop i used to share pictures of is a 75'x50' metal building with 3 roll up doors and the front 20'x50' section is a 2 story apartment inside. It's about 1600sq ft of living area with 3 bedrooms 1 bath, a full kitchen and living area. It's a pretty sweet setup. If he didn't want $200k for it I'd like to buy it from him...

Not really. It's worth $125k. He is an appraiser by trade. He is trying to sell it as a commercial property.
