It's a full blown race car with a straight axle. There is a reason there are only 2 manual transmission C5 or C6 vettes in the 8's. Putting the power down is really hard. The fastest one actually made about the same power as mine but it was N20. It is an 06 or 07 Z06.

My challenger is still "street legal"

Belly up and do it ;) I actually run 9.0 index here most of the time. They only do 8.50 twice a year at HMP that I can attend. 9.0 is fun but 8.50 is pretty nuts out on my car and only happens on a good track when it's not 110+ outside.... aka november race

If I put an automatic in it that would be no problem. That won't happen though as I like the 1/2 mile and Mexico stuff too much.

C6 rear subframe, offset diff mounts, and poly engine mounts came in today. Coilovers will be here monday and still no word on the driveshaft shop carbon fiber driveshaft. I expect 2-3 weeks on that since they are made to order.

Does the rear subframe just bolt right in?

Yes but you have to use diff mounts that are offset am inch to make everything line up. The mounts alone are $550. The cradle needs a bit of grinding to get the trans and diff to bolt up after being offset. I'm deleting the diff cooler and looping the trans cooler lines for now. Other than that I just have to bolt my C5 control arms on to the C6 subframe and run coilovers. I'm going to keep all of my stock stuff so I can swap it back if I sell it.
