Because people who buy FT86s buy it for raw power I'm sure..  Proved nothing   the only idiots are those that think FT86s are supposed to be some machine that goes 0-60 in 2 seconds and those that think people who buy FT86s only think that way too.  I sure as hell don't race anyone on a regular street when I'm driving with my FR-S, I actually have logic.

And what is up with "you can't afford a Mustang"..  I'm pretty sure stock base Mustangs are actually cheaper than even stock FR-S and will still beat a FT86 in a straight line.

What's the difference between the FR-S and the BRZ minus a few grand, does the FR-S have a shittier interior or something?

I never see these damn cars, I suppose the fact that I live in the Northeast plays a major part, not the kind of car you'd want to daily around here, but even so I didn't see many in the summer. So far I've seen one dark blue FR-S and a silver BRZ.

In short, they are exact same of course. However, if we need to get more specific (especially since the FR-S is 2 grand cheaper if I remember correctly..) BRZ has a slightly different body design in the front, along with a few very minor detail differences around the car... Aside from that, exterior is the exact same of course. Interior wise, the difference is that Scion has no varient. They only have a stock model that you can upgrade a few things such as sound system, air filter and a few other things, while Subaru offers a more premium model on top of the very bare one which I think comes with leather interior, upgraded stereo, keyless entry/start and a spoiler (sad Scion doesn't offer yet :( ) I personally like the FR-S's front design better, not just because I work for Toyota, but yeah

Also I found a pic to illustrate the difference on the front of the FR-S/BRZ. Not the cleanest side by side but you can see the biggest differences..

E: The regular BRZ model is I think exact price of the FR-S. The only difference is that second more upscale BRZ model which will cost a few grand extra..

the more expensive brz has the leather/heated seats, touchscreen/navi, keyless entry and push to start button.
the other brz is the same as the frs

V6 and V8 Mustang are with like 4 grand either way of the BRZ.
The V8 rapes it in a straight line and in curves, the V6 not quite so much.
The only think that puts me off on the BRZ (and ive said this a million times) is the complete lack of power.
The Miata (lowered, suspension, sticky tires) we have is fun and handles like its on rails but that gets old FAST when you can barely pull out of a turn.
Raw power gets boring two. Gotta get both.

Honestly, these cars are too expensive for what you get.

I'd get a used s2k instead. the value on those will not decrease much.

Mustang: 80.1"wide, 188.2" long
BRZ: 69.9" wide, 166.9" long
Miata: 67.7" wide, 157.3"long

brz's are quite a bit smaller than mustangs, and just a little bigger than a miatas.

It's very easy to make a car faster, it's much harder to make one smaller.
