they are like dude this car had x amount of horsepower its so quick but like its still got a near stock setup. even some of the so called v8 guys around here don't understand alot of that. its sad

You can tell how well a cars setup is working by comparing ET vs MPH once you've spent some time at the track and on the internet learning about drag stuff.
If you tell me a car has X suspension setup running Y tire with Z power and A weight I can give you an estimate within 3-4mph and .2-.3 sec of what it runs. If you tell me the 60ft time (basically how well the suspension trans and tire are working) and the 1/4 mph I can tell you the ET within .1 sec.
You just learn that shit over time.
