I'm not sold on the flocking. I think it's flocking ugly

Because a faded and sun damaged CF dash would look good? Wouldn't take long either with a windshield acting like a magnifying glass.

Also too much CF is an ugly look, contrast is good

Agreed. Different strokes for different folks. I like it, that's all that matters.

My thoughts on this, however.

First - It's a safety hazard. The glare on the otherwise unfinished surface would be very dangerous.

Second. It will make more sense when you see the interior put together. The tops of the door panels will flow into the flocking, keeping that two tone theme I've started.

I have the gauges very loosely mocked in place now. It looks unbelievable.

Those pictures do more harm than good, as in person it looks, and feels, tits. It looks like spray on bedliner in the pictures, but it really looks like velvet in real life.

I need to get it outside.

Regardless, any and all feedback is good, and appreciated.

this isn't his daily driver, so highly doubt it would be sitting in the sun fading/changing color.

I'm just not sold on it, I will have to see what it look like in the car, and it's not the flocking, I am not liking the way it is split at the moment, that is strictly off seeing it outside of the car.

And yes, it looks more rubbery in those pictures than velvetty. That was actually going to be a suggestion was to use velvet instead of that. But if it has more of a cloth look in person It probably looks fine.

I would have to liked to see the hump of the gauge area unflocked, not a straight line cutting the cluster area in half. Follow the same lines on the sides, at the middle cluster go up and over, and same above speedo area.

Oh yea? Well you're a flocking idiot.

Oo.

I like it, all carbon fiber would be too bland. Plus, I'm with OP. You'd hate to be driving on a sunny day and get a blinding glare off the dash.

Hit the 36 hour mark. Felt comfortable enough with very carefully mocking up the gauges. They are as far installed as I am comfortable with, given the state of cure of the adhesive.

Love it. Pictures do it zero justice.

Today I flocked the tops of the door panels, to keep continuity with the dash.

Thanks for the support everyone.

Any sort of black trim piece for around the three vent (I think) control slides in the middle of the dash?

e/ even like a radio dash trim or something similar to this?
