I was talking about the mustang. Thats why his estimations were off. He was basing his calculations on his own car which is underrated and has low drivetrain loss.

automatics and independent suspension will always be higher.

ah okay, got it wrong

Put your foot down mid wash out or did you catch it on something? I wouldnt wear motocross boots on a trail bike anyway. I wear my trials boots. They are softer material without the metal reinforcement. I have a pair of Gaerne GX-1s. Much more comfortable than full on motocross boots. I feel like I have better balance and control with them too.

This reminds me I havent posted a bike update yet.

Yeah that is the most common way to do it. Protection is only good if you wear it so its important to have stuff you dont mind wearing or its worthless.

I sold my 06 Yamaha WR250F and bought an 07 KX450F from a friend. 3 tanks of gas on a new top end with Wiseco piston, MRD Pro Comp exhaust, KYB forks of an 11', Applied Factory 21.5mm offset triple clamps, DID dirt star rims, Renthal sprockets, DID chain, JD Engineering jetting, Boysen accelerator pump with adjustable leak jet, EBC rotors, Twin Air filter, and a fresh valve job. I went through a rear tire in 3 rides. It isn't super pretty but its smooth as hell in the woods and the power goes without saying.
