i averaged 32 in the C6 driving back from cali to stl .

Maybe without stopping. C6s are rated for 26mpg avg highway with manual trans.

And lol'd at Jimmy getting 29 mpg avg on a 1 ton 4x4 mega cab... let alone with 35" BFG'S. Maybe you saw 29 for a second at speed on the display.

I see where you are trying to go with this... but comparing avg mpg to what a car gets at the right speed after acceleration isn't the same. My tdi may hit over 55mpg on the highway, but the avg is in the low 40s.

Would like to see a little more comparison in some what the same class please... not a 27k $ gas car vs a 60+k $ diesel truck lol

I've seen TT'S running 13s with a few simple mods also, and that's with 4x less hp, and 7x less trq.

I average 23mpg in my trans am with H/C/I/E if i don't break any laws. It is probably 420whp. I'm not saying it is better than a TT. I'm pointing out it isn't as far off as you think and its double the power out of the box. Note that i didn't suggest an fbody to the op even though i own 2. Someone else did.
