The bikers were in the wrong with almost everything they did. That said, the RR driver was not completely in the right. He should have kept driving on the highway and called the cops. Getting off on city streets was the worst thing he could have done knowing he just ran someone over.

If you see a close friend get run over by a fleeing car are YOU going to immediately rationalize that action and say oh well, he fucked up? NO! You are going to chase that fucker down too. I promise.

So long as the RR driver sees what he did wrong its cool. What won't be cool, and what motorcyclists are afraid of, is a news and talk show campaign that is going to smear us all. The public loves hating bike riders. On road or off, they don't care. Something like that could cause other jackwagons to think behaving exactly as he did is ok. That scares me. How long would it take to see someone take the offensive against a few bikers in a road range incident? They would point to this shitfest and call it justified. We already share the road, trusting every 4000lb tank that gets near us. Riding street is a high stakes game of chicken. We get no respect and idiots like these make it worse.
