I had great intentions this weekend of fixing a bunch of little problems that were keeping the truck from driving well. I tore the back of the 205 apart to address some leaks and build some bracketry for the parking brake. Then it started pouring! Apparently no one told the weather it was still summerish? So I got a bracket built and sought shelter in the garage

Trying not to let the weather get me down I started re-assembling my bead locks with all new hardware. After talking to Trail Ready, its imperative that the bead lock ring touches the rim face when the bolts are torqued. Mine didn't and this was likely the cause of my recent tire/rim separation issues. So they sell these dense plastic spacers to fill the gap in the event you have one. So I cleaned the rims, replaced the all the valve stem air filler situations (technical term) and re-assembled with new hardware and the spacers. Putting bead locks together is a bitch BTW! After many rounds of torqueing to 15 and then 20, the hardware was in place, I flipped the rim over and used some green thread lock (wicking grade) on the nuts just for a little security. Then set the bead with a little air and boom, had 2 tires done in about 2 hours.

My lower back was killing me from being hunched over on the tires and the rain had let up so I put the 205 back together and drove it around a bit since it had been sitting a couple weeks.
I didn't finish the parking brake but its closer and I've got a plan in my head of how to get the cables hooked up.
My "finally ready to wheel the 60 to do list"
- Remove upper link, cut off one weld on bung and weld in a new, making the link about an inch shorter (it's currently as short as I can make it and I need a touch more caster).
- Check toe again
- double-cardan front driveshaft. It sucks but the new one I had made binds at about 5" of droop, with the 205 clocked up and the lift height I ended up with it's gonna need a DC shaft
- Hydro assist steering. I might do a Hollister or something "lighter" without it but I have trouble turning into driveways on the street so hyrdo assist is going to be a must.
- Remove coils, mount tires and cycle suspension while steering left to right and cut shit that gets in the way as necessary.
- Mount 2 more bead locks.
