Mazda 3? M5?

Even newer models will fit that budget. I'm a Mazda sucker though. They've spoiled me

how would buying a 20k civic benefit him?.........................................................................................

How would it not?

He seems to want something reliable, with good gas mileage. He doesn't need to spend $20k on it, unless he went new.

Why...? They get better gas mileage than manuals, sure theyre a little more expensive but other than that i wouldn't see the need for a manual or auto w/ out CVT.

it's a nice car, and nice looking, but the acceleration for a even a commuter car is very poor. That's why I recommend the civic, they greatly improved basic acceleration.

Probably because they take a shit after only 100k miles... And drive like ass, manuals can literally last a lifetime in the right hands.
