hide the amplifier out of sight don't screw it to the box and turn it into a thief combo meal
if you are that worried then physical barriers are much much more useful when paired with an alarm.
you make it take more than a few minutes to get shit loose and they have no chance of actually getting away with anything with the alarm going off.
