I always enjoy it when I get to spend time on the Gullwing.

I spent a week learning from Albrecht Stachel on how the direct injection works on the 300sl.

so, needless to say, that was pretty cool.

I also build custom carbon bits for all vehicles, so I'd change your tone a bit. Some people here actually do things. Cool things.

You're getting hazed cause you're new here, and came a slight chip on your shoulder. If you change your tone a bit, others will reciprocate.

On topic. That handicapable racecar is awesome! Props to that guy. I do a lot of work with the wounded warrior project, and take vets sailing as often as I can get out there. One day I'd love to build Paralympic sailboats for amputees and others to enjoy. Very cool stuff.

Respect is earned, not given.

Most of the regulars here have done nothing to earn my respect, and act like fools.

I literally have no intent to make friends with people like that.

I respect real car people. Not people that are mechanics because they have nothing better to do.

That gullwing is fucking amazing. I'm super jealous. I haven't worked on too many classic vehicles. Especially foreign. Done a bit of stuff on old American muscle though.

Fair enough.

Here's a link to a separate thread that chronicled fixing a lean condition. Lots more pictures, if you wanted to check em out.
