The security deposit goes hand and hand with a credit check. Some places will allow you to give them a cheque but most reputable places charge it on your credit card. It would be at least a $5000 security deposit for a Maserati (it's usually whatever their deductible on the car is). If you have bad credit, chances are if you have a credit card you won't have a transaction limit anywhere close to 5k.
