dirt isn't all that bad, its the mud that bakes onto everything.. once it basically turns to clay, THAT's when it gets abrasive and breaks shit. eats away at seals and shit.

took my offroad vehicles out in the mud every once in a while when it rained. don't do that much anymore. its too expensive lol

meh never had an issue with them at all. 4 years and i've spent generally maintenance on it (maybe 1200$ CAD total), and im a mechanic so I would know if somethings fucked.

I do know what you're all saying though. Mud can seriously fuck vehicles I've seen it too many times but lots of times its the driver and they just dont care floor it everywhere instead of only where you need to

Honestly in my shop too. I find newer vehicles come in with more issues than older ones. They just don't make vehicles like they used too :(

honestly if you have your own shop and you think a d35 and 8.8 are good for a mud truck, no one should ever bring their shit to you

its insane that you put any time or money into either of those axles

hes not sased, thats the dana 35ttb

he said he cut and turned, which is what the ttb pre runner go fast guys do with their dana 44's or dana 50's

but why in gods name you would do all that work on a weak independent axle for a "mud truck" is beyond me
