I can think of a lot cooler ways to kill yourself than on a go-ped.

what an old man thing to say. that's a concern only total idiots have to worry about.

i've put every piece of this machine together myself and am smart enough to not do foolish things on it.

lol neat. I want to do a shifter cart once I move into my new house. Wonder if there's any plans out there for making a frame and such. Want to put like a 250cc motor on it or so depending what I can find as far as bike motors go on craigslist.

250cc shifter cart? you're insane! building a frame requires a lot more knowledge than one would think, making a safe and reliable frame is no easy task. i recently learned this after some guy posted a 100% custom moped with a frame he built on reddit, and reddit tore him a new one about how unsafe his frame was. which, afterward, he posted another photo of the same moped with a newly attached flamethrower on the back. i'm not sure what your metalworking experience is, sorry if you already know this!

i ordered all my parts from Dave's Motors, if you ever decide to pursue that project, they are the BEST place to get parts from. decent prices, fast shipping, excellent customer service, all-around a great site for hobbyists. i even bought their custom exhaust pipe, it's legit. check their site out, i bet they'd have a lot of the parts you'd be looking for for a cart!

(it sounds like i work for them, i don't, just really happy with the site after ordering a few parts from bullshit sites)

i bought the go-ped used and every part on the thing needed replacing except for the handlebars and cylinder

/e i lied, cylinder needs replacing since one of the intake manifold's bolt holes has stripped threads. RTV sealant and threadlock will do, for now. walls are too thin to re-thread :(

you're saying a go-ped can rust and rot from the inside out but a shifter cart can't? :P

what kind of special gaskets and bearings do those things have?!
