The throwout bearing is brand new, exedy brand.

My mechanic says that the input shaft might have seen some wear over the years, and when he cleaned it and removed the old and toasted tob, it made the new bearing sit a bit loose when no pressure is on it.

So he has my car atm, he wioll spend some time on it tomorrow, and will try to fix it without it costing me and arm and a leg. Maybe sleeve the shaft or something.

Will have more information tomorrow.

it dont matter if the bearing is new its a friction part a new one can go bad too. hopefully thats all it is and maybe it wasnt installed correctly or the bearing was just bad to begin with.

yea ...

how Lucky...getting a bad bearing, could I call exedy and ask for some moeny back lol?

have to pay for 3-4 more hours for labor to open the tranny up again and replace.............I mean if its whats causing the noise, the mechanic can't really do shiet..and I cant really expect a discount on the second opening..

anyways Ill just wait for my mechanics call...

Clutch companies rarely warranty anything because it's all so install dependent.

got the call

he charged me 60 bucks and he installed my front swaybar bushings lol.

he tore it open again, clean the fork and shaft, added some thicker grease. Says the bearing is fine. (15 years installing exedy products without any issues..)

het let it run on idle the morning before doing the fix, and the squeak started after like 5 minutes. After the fix it was fine, no squeak for a good 15 minutes.

He said that if the noise comes back, that im most likely ''screwed'' that it would need a sleeve job which he dont recommend...

so yea lets pray it doesnt come back. if it does im selling the car lol.

glad it was an easier fix. although it does sound like it was fixed the "cheap way" but if it works fine then
