No. A tune is a tune. It should be for the specific car. Canned or one size fits all tunes are a bad idea. That particular company chose their terminology.

I said.....in this case.

I was saying no, it is not widely known terminology. What I said about the tunes is still valid.

Last I checked I was the one tuning cars across 3 different brands. Canned tunes are always a bad idea. Please try to convince me otherwise.

I'm not going to try to convince you as I already know ecutek, or a personal tuner is a better option than openflash tablet.

However, open flash tablet is the second most popular tune method for the brz, is highly praised for what it is and I can flash back to stock, or another tune within 5 minutes.

It may not be the best option, but it's cheaper, extremely convenient, and directly involved me with learning about the car.

Don't act like it's impossible that a custom tuner can't mess up.

I'm not saying that. I'm saying you can't properly tune a car without having eyes on a data log after changes are made. I can email someone a start up tune to get a car running but that doesn't mean they should leave it at that and let the PCM try to compensate for my educated guesses.

I can log my data, and send it to shiv, the guy who operates openflashtablet and he will send me a custom tune for $200.

I can view all data myself with the tablet, yet I'm still very very new to this, admittingly.
