Some racing series do that, as in you "must" sell your car for $500 at the end of the race, if somebody offers. It's a way to keep people from "cheating" too much. 24/H Lemons I don't believe does that, rather they give you penalty laps as for how much over the $500 they feel you are.....quite frankly, 24/H lemons isn't really a race, as much a party with cars involved. You watch a bunch of race vids from lemons, you'll see the same teams using the same car again and again....

...heh. Get someone out there like Vaughn Gittin Jr. or Rhys Millen with their sponsored cars, to drift in a live pack for s+g's.

1.4: Claiming Race: At the end of the competition, the Organizers--and nobody else, you lazy, better-car-wantin' bastids--may elect to purchase any vehicle from its owner(s) for $500. In 80 races and counting, we've claimed cars precisely twice. Don't piss us off so much that we raise that to three.

That car is dead btw- driver not hurt, just sore.
