i played with a Mac box today and the drawers was hard to open when they had some weight in them :/

What line are you looking at?

The slides on mine are rated at 450lbs per drawer... they slide much better with a full set of tools in my opinion. They are like dragging a lumber wagon when empty.

Like I said, I have a higher end snap on top box on top of the mac and they have nowhere near the weight the mac drawers do and the slides are not near as good. Don't get me wrong. They work fine, it's not like it's some 150 dollar box by any means.

i would have to look at it again to know the line I saw but it had the power drawer in it so it's recently new, i like that the Mac does feel like a heavier box more solid BUT I like the way snap on has the latches to open the drawers

It's prob gonna come down to who can give me the best deal
Some guy in the shop just got a used snap on classic series with a locker attached to it for 1500 off the snap on truck used

I rly want a deal like that >.>

Buy snap-on then. Every mac truck guy i've ever had has been a pain in the ass and never willing to negotiate.

I've probably bought more tools with cold beer than actual dollars through my old snap-on guy.

It's not hard at all. I locked my spare in the box and lost the other one in a lake and it was a phone call and a code on the back of the box and I had a new set for free.

I haven't messed with much snap on stuff, but id think you can just drill out the lock, open the box and install a new one.
