What someone I know did was actually capture them all in cages, not sure what happened after that. Was like 7+ cats living under the neighbor deck that would wonder around and shit everywhere etc.

If it's only one cat it's easier to give it a lesson so it wont come back. Like others said with tape etc. But if it's many cats you should set up a few cage traps, round them all up and BBQ.

cayenne pepper or some citrus smelling stuff like orange peels and things like that. also i would maybe try like a red ryder bb gun and just watch for them to come around and try plinking them with it. i wouldnt use a co2 powered bb gun unless you really aim to inflict harm though. the pump ones hit enough to scare and maybe hurt them a little but as long as you dont shoot their eyes out or something you shouldnt cause any real damage. you need to let them know they arent welcome if they arent comfortable they will stop coming there.

or get a dog or a .22 and get it over with fast. you can also try live trapping them or catching them by hand and haul them off like 30 miles away. dont drop them close to home they can find their way back pretty easily.

i would strongly advise against poisoning them because they will suffer before they die and if you get caught you can catch an animal abuse charge for each one poisoned and you dont want that.

If you kill them you can go to prison...so don't do that (and yes you can, especially if they have owners who care about them). Why not just get a car cover or find something to spray that keeps them away.
